SCHOOL OF LAW - ONLINE COUNSELLING & ADMISSIONS FOR 2021-22

To ensure a smooth online counselling and admissions process, you are advised to adhere to the following instructions:

  • All counselling and admissions related updates will be available only at www.sastra.edu. Please do not be guided by any external information and SASTRA is not responsible for any consequences arising out of your deviance
  • Ascertain your rank after logging into the admission portal. Any discrepancy in +2 Marks or CLAT Scores must be brought to the notice of the admissions office immediately. You can report the same in the portal in the designated area and we shall respond accordingly
  • In the time period allotted, you can choose your branch preferences and save it. You can make changes to your choice until you submit the choices. Once you Submit your choices, no change in preferences shall be entertained later
  • If there is no vacancy for Choice 1, the allotment will be to the 2nd choice and so on till last choice. Branch allotment is based on rank secured
  • Once the allotment is made, applicant shall pay the I semester tuition fee online
  • Applicants are advised to pay the full tuition fee online using Credit Card / Net Banking facility. No extension in the tuition fee payment date is possible as subsequent rounds of counselling need to be conducted and adequate time is also provided
  • You are advised to save a copy of the successful online payment with transaction details. The university requires a maximum of three working days for reconciliation with the payment gateway and bankers. Once confirmed, the admission letter can be downloaded from the portal
  • Hostel accommodation will be provided to students from far-off places only. Students staying within a travel radius of 75 kms will not be provided hostel accommodation. The allotment of hostel shall be done later once the opening dates are announced and adequate advance information shall be provided to students.
  • In anticipation of your concerns on student safety, we wish to inform students and their parents that the current students of SASTRA are pursuing their odd semester in the online mode. When we start the face-to-face classes for I year students, we shall be meeting the social distancing & health advisory guidelines more than the mandated minimum and there is no need to worry on safety aspects. The campus will have only students from the I year initially as we believe that the early days of college is an important milestone in everyone’s academic pursuit. We would like to give them that unique experience without denying them the excitement and reward for their meritorious performance so far. We hope we are able to do it as early as possible.

    8. Induction programme and orientation begins on Sept 23 2021
    9. I year classes thereafter

Note:Withdrawal after payment of tuition fee is possible from August 26, 2021 onwards. The applicable refund shall be made online to the registered bank a/c. No other form of refund will be encouraged.
